Archiving Radical JoyRadical Joy is the deep, deliberate act of embracing joy—especially in the face of systems that seek to suppress, marginalize, or erase. It’s not passive or escapist; it’s defiant, political, and powerful.
This is a living archive of Montreal’s ballroom community—rooted in the city’s underground nightlife and powered by fierce joy, chosen family, and unapologetic self-expression.
Archiving Radical Joy’s purpose is to preserve moments in time where people have gathered and rclaimed space through the radical embodiment of Joy, and to fundamentally affect the the space and the people that witness the moment, past, future and present.
Each frame is a portal—a glimpse into the beauty, resilience, and brilliance that thrives in the margins of the city of Montreal.
This is joy as resistance. Joy as memory. Joy as a map forward.

WILD PRIDE: Queer Legacy Ball 2025
“A celebration of unbounded Queerness, a call to every indocile queer to reclaim cultural spaces. In the face of a hostile political climate, it is clear that corporate pride is prioritizing its shareholder interest over the needs of the community.”
“ Wilde Pride emerged as a united front to create its own festival and its own cultural spaces that upholds unapologetic queer joy. Wild prides explicitly intersectional, anti corporate, anti zionist, and committed to centring BIPOC queers and the most marginalized within community. In a climate where Fierté Montréal prioritizes image over activism and the interest of sponsors over those of the 2SLGBTQ+communities. The community believes that Fierté is a festival that caters towards corporations, and corporate greed and doesn't cater towards queer communities and marginalized people. WILD PRIDE for and by the Community, was created in response PRIDE Montreal the richest queer organization in the city/province not providing support and services to queer people they claim to cater to.”
On August 16th 2026 at Ausgang , Black Gxrl Sesh hosted the Queer Legacy kiki Ball, as one of WILD PRIDE’s response to Pride MTL’s   anti accessibility and anti-inclusion practices.
